My thanks go out to everyone for such a wonderful year of 2009.  In spite of the problems everyone was having, people were very generous. I especially thank  our churches,  who I truly believe, are divinely inspired in their giving. I especially would like to recognize the First Baptist church, the Men’s Downtown Bible Class, Walmart, which was absolutely wonderful to us this year, the businesses, dental offices, and organizations who brought us so much food and contributed so much, all the wonderful schools who helped us out again this year, and of course, the  beautiful individuals that all of you are, for your generous donations, both monetary and food.

Never regret a day of your life

It has been a very good year for us.  In spite of our 40% increase in people who have been coming to CARE this year, we have managed to help with over 800 bills and fed over 5700 people.  The people in this community are some of the most giving people and it is because of the wonderful churches, organizations, individuals, and a few businesses that God has made us prosperous and able to help so many.  Thank you to all of our supporters for your help this year.  We brought in over 157,000 pounds of food, most of which was distributed to all the areas we cover. 

PLEASE REMEMBER!!!  We need food all the time, not just at the holidays.  Please continue to give.  THE MORE WE GIVE, THE MORE IS GIVEN TO US.  GOD BLESS.

Waxahachie CARE hosted a fund-raising Pie Social in conjunction with the barbecue supper at the 2009 Chautauqua Assembly on Sept. 26.
